Century Partners Group, a fledgling land developer, retained Kiskinis Communications, Inc. in January of 1997 while it was trying to generate private capital. Our firm’s objective was to introduce key media to Century Partners Group while positioning the company as a promising residential homebuilder. We believed that by furthering the company’s credibility:
a. Century could raise additional capital through its private offering,
b. South Florida homebuilders poised for acquisition would reach out to Century,
c. Century could generate additional residential/commercial projects.

Challenges

1. Century Partners Group was involved with other Hispanic-owned builders in joint venture residential projects. In each instance, Century provided the funding but the joint venture partner served as the builder.
2. Century was young and lacked a strong image in the market place.

Results

Kiskinis Communications secured numerous news and feature stories in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Miami Herald, South Florida Business Journal, Daily Business Review, Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, Miami Business magazine, etc. Many of those included front-page profiles on the company and its engaging president, Sergio Pino.

Impact
1. Century Partners Group raised more than $30 million during the first six months of its private offering.
2. In 1999, Century Partners Group acquired Weitzer Homebuilders, an established publicly held company based in South Florida.
3. By 2001, Century Homebuilders, a division of Century Partners Group, was among the nation’s largest Hispanic-owned homebuilders.
