Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce
Kiskinis Communications helped Grove businesses and organizations identify, evaluate and respond to these changes and their impact:
1. The need to distinguish Coconut Grove from such South Florida destinations as Bal Harbour and South Beach.
2. Traffic congestion, demand for parking and desires to keep a "pedestrian friendly" village.
3. Calls to pursue a progressive future while preserving the eclectic essence of "Old Grove."

Action
1. Worked with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to develop a consistent message that targeted international visitors.
2. Initiated point-of-purchase programs through American Express offices that promoted Coconut Grove globally.
3. Developed and nurtured partnerships with national travel and regional publications that provided Coconut Grove special sections.
4. Launched an aggressive media campaign to promote the Grove’s festivals and sporting events.
5. Kept communications open with traditional Grove constituencies to reduce the "Generation Gap."

Results

1. Establish Coconut Grove as a leading destination for locals and visitors.
2. Stimulate business in the area by driving additional traffic/customers.
3. Create an image of Coconut Grove with its distinct carefree blend of the bohemian and the chic.
